I like Spiked

I may be the last person to know about Spiked Online but, having found it (courtesy not of Google or a late-night wilf but Radio 4), I have become a fan.

Excellent article today by Frank Furedi about the Politics of Apocalypse. You know the kind of thing he's talking about: terrorism, global warming, bird flu. All very scary and, er .. distracting.

Key paragraph here:
